I am looking forward to church on Wednesday night as I continue teaching on the Psalms. We will look specifically at some of the Praise/Thanksgiving Psalms. We will also have a special guest from Church of God Ministries worshipping with us. :) I hope your family can take advantage of the multi-generational and multi-faceted opportunities we have to engage in worship, the Word and in fellowship with each other each Wednesday at 6:45 pm. :) Pastor Melissa
Let’s keep talking about Sunday’s sermon. What suggestions do you have for protecting and preparing the next generation?

What an exciting testimony of healing I received from church member, Susan Paxton! Here it is: Sunday morning you prayed early in the service and stated there was no reason why everyone who needed healing that morning couldn't leave that morning healed. I was one of those people. If you saw my FB post a couple of weeks ago you know that I testified about being able to run 3 miles despite having been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis, which has been in remission for about 1 1/2 years. I have been medication free without any joint pain. Wouldn't you know that the week after I posted that I had a sudden onset of pain in my left knee and right hand. My hand was also swollen and I recognized the pain and symptoms as that of RA. I was quite disappointed. The RA had never affected my knees but with the knee pain occurring at the same time as the hand pain I wondered if it too was due to RA. I had been doing a lot of landscaping and heavy lifting so thought maybe it was a sprain, but couldn't be sure. I was so afraid of the RA being back full force. Sunday morning the pain was worse than it had been and I hobbled into church. The knee pain was keeping me from doing things I wanted to do but I was most concerned about the hand pain because I knew it was RA. I wanted to go forward for prayer but since the choir was singing I didn't figure I would have the opportunity. But the order of the service was different and we went down during the call to prayer. There were several people waiting to be prayed for so I decided not to go forward. And then Sue Ragland, who had also been in the choir loft, made her way down to the altar to pray for people. So I found my way to her and she anointed me and prayed. I tell you no lie. During the sermon I suddenly noticed my hand was pain free. It still looked swollen but by Monday my hand was completely back to normal and still is. I now can tell the knee is a sprain and know how to doctor that. But I am RA free! Thanks to God and to a church that believes in offering a time for prayer and body ministry. Glory to God! He is in the healing business! Pastor Melissa
